About Me

My name is Armaghan (Amy) Azhar, founder of Justena Law. With more than eleven years of legal experience, I have lived and worked across six countries on three continents, which has given me a deep understanding of the nuances of different legal systems and the challenges people face when navigating them.

I am a graduate of Leiden University (LL.M. in Public International Law) and was recognized as the top student of my other master’s at Allameh Tabataba’i University (L.LM in International Commercial Law). In addition, I have had more than five years of legal research experience across renowned universities in the Netherlands and Belgium. This strong academic foundation, combined with years of hands-on legal practice, allows me to bridge theory and practice in a way that truly benefits my clients.

My expertise spans Dutch administrative, civil, employment, immigration, corporate, and international law, with a strong focus on EU law and cross-border matters. I have advised governments, universities, companies, and individuals, while my published research on migration, labor rights, and human rights reinforces my practical work in resolving complex and often urgent legal challenges.

Having worked with clients who are new to a country or unfamiliar with its legal system, I understand how essential access to justice is, especially for those with limited language proficiency or little knowledge of local procedures. For this reason, I provide services in Persian, English, Dutch, French, and Arabic, ensuring that my clients are heard and represented in the language they feel most comfortable with.

At Justena Law, I translate complex legal frameworks into clear, understandable and strategic solutions. I believe in fairness, strategy, and success; not as slogans, but as guiding principles in every case I take on. My international perspective, combined with precision and determination, allows me to defend my clients’ interests effectively and with care.
